The Clean Energy Challenge is the Midwest’s leading showcase for clean energy innovation. The annual event combines a business plan competition for Midwestern entrepreneurs, researchers and students with presentations by leading clean energy thinkers and doers. Up to $500,000 in prizes will be awarded to the most promising companies at the 2014 Clean Energy Challenge.
Prizes are awarded in two categories:
Early Stage – Early Stage teams must be made up of two members and be incorporated in or plan to incorporate in the Midwest region. For additional eligibility criteria, please click here.
Student- The Clean Energy Challenge serves as the Midwest regional competition for the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Clean Energy Business Plan Competition. Student teams must first advance from their state competitions, which are also administered by the Clean Energy Trust.
Student teams must be made up of two members and have at least half of their members currently enrolled in a U.S. university or college. For additional eligibility criteria, please click here.
